There are so many options for outdoor photos depending on the look and feel that you're after. Consider whether you are a beach or forest person. Do you love trees and plants, or sand and water? Perhaps there is a a park, reserve or location near you that you love or that is meaningful to your family? I have loads of locations up my sleeve and am here to help. Together we'll find the perfect spot.
Yes, my Working With Children Check is current and can be viewed upon request.
Safety of your baby is my number one priority and as such I always ensure that my vaccinations (including Whooping Cough and the Flu) are up to date.
You can contact me at any time during your pregnancy to let me know your expected due date but the earlier the better as sessions often book up months in advance (especially for newborn photography).
At this time, and upon receipt of your deposit, I will make a tentative booking for you based on your due date. Then, within a few days of your little ones arrival, you'll need to get in touch again so that we can we can confirm the exact date and time.
Although every effort will be made to fit you in, please don't wait until you have already had your bub to book in your session - I really hate disappointing people.
The optimum age for photographing a newborn baby is between 1-2 weeks. This is because babies of this age are still naturally curled up and are deliciously squishy and sleepy. Of course it is always possible to photograph babies older than this, especially for lifestyle sessions.
My Natural Studio Newborn sessions are held in my natural light baby studio located in The Patch, which is nestled amongst the beautiful Dandenong Ranges.
My studio is specifically set up for newborn and baby photography and is heated to ensure optimum baby comfort throughout the session - all wraps and blankets are fully laundered between sessions.
The good news is that there is nothing special that you need to do to prepare for your in-home session and you do not need a 'perfect' house. Through the use of all available natural light we will showcase the unique beauty that is your family, in your family home, just as you are.
It can be helpful to remove any clutter but please don't stress over spring cleaning every surface. If needed I will move things around to create the optimum shot. Rooms that we will most likely use during your session are the nursery, master bedroom and lounge room.
The first thing I'll do when I arrive is scope out the best available light/rooms and work from there.
The best time for a maternity session is between 32-36 weeks (but please don't leave it this late to book).
At this stage of your pregnancy you will most likely still feel comfortable and mobile - if you leave it too late, there is a chance that your baby will arrive early and you will miss out on your maternity photo’s all together. Eeeep!
If you book your session in for before 32 weeks, we may not capture the full roundness of your beautiful, expanding belly.
Wear what you are comfortable with and what makes you feel like YOU. Most of all keep it simple and avoid logos, fine stripes and bold/fluorescent colours.
Shoes are not required for studio, in-home or beach session/s.
For maternity sessions consider clothing that will accentuate your beautiful belly. And if you would like to organise something a little extra special, Mamarentals offer a beautiful range of dresses to hire at a discounted rate for clients of Foxbelle Photography - head on over and check them out. Be sure to ask me for the discount code.
If you are unsure of what to wear or would like some styling advice feel free to send through some photos of what you have in mind.
My goal is create and capture authentic emotion and connection, which means that your photography session will be filled with love, laughter and lots of play. Your only job is to show up with an open heart and I will direct and guide you the entire way.
I will be keeping a close eye on the weather and any decisions to reschedule your session due to inclement weather will be made on the day (and up to one hour prior to the session). It is amazing how often the weather clears up at photo time! If you are sick, or I am, we will reschedule - no problem. Please refer to my COVID-Safe Plan for more infor mation.
A sneak peak from your session will be shared within 2-3 days. The full selection of your photos will be available to view within 2-4 weeks.
Yep! I Sure do. Printing your photos ensures that you will have something tangible to hand down to your children.
Do you remember CD's and floppy disks? Yup I do! But where are those photos now? Hopefully not hidden in a drawer somewhere, gathering dust and forgotten about.
While it is definitely not necessary to print your whole gallery you may have some favourites that you'd like to hang on your wall or share with family, or you might want to create a beautiful heirloom album. After viewing your gallery you will have the option to purchase a variety of photo products.
All photos from Foxbelle Photography are printed on archival quality photographic paper by a professional printing lab and my monitor is also calibrated to ensure that the photos I produce reflect an international standard on colour management.
Printed photos purchased elsewhere may not accurately represent the colours and tones you have hired a professional photographer to capture for you.

Ingrid at Foxbelle Photography is an amazingly talented photographer who captured our family perfectly. She was extremely patient with our young daughter and ensured a smooth photo shoot by making us feel very comfortable indeed....many laughs were had! Dealing with Ingrid post the photo shoot was an absolute pleasure and she went out of her way to ensure we had the prints that we requested ASAP. I would highly recommend Ingrid, her shots were so natural and the prints were delightfully presented. From start to finish, this was an enjoyable experience.
In the spirit of reconciliation, I acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the traditional owners and custodians of this beautiful and precious land that I am so lucky to live, work and play on. I also wish to pay my respects to all Elders, past and present, who have resided in this area and extend that respect to other Indigenous people who are present.
