This was such a fun extended family photoshoot with the Oakman Family in Williamstown, Hobson Bay.
I have been so fortunate to have photographed most of these individual families before, some a few times too. So it was extra special to be invited to document them all hanging out together with their beautiful Nanna and matriarch.
With six kids, and seven adults, it was wild and crazy and we all laughed a lot. Which I think is a very honest reflection of family life with kids.
If you are after stuffy, unnatural photos of serious people, then I may not be the right photographer for you. But if joy and authenticity is important to you, I think that we may just be a perfect match!
Extended family sessions are popular gifts for milestone birthdays (think Grandma's 70th) or for families who live across different countries and states.
So the next time you manage to get everybody together, why not make it an occasion and photograph it too?
